The winners of our Cajun and Creole cookbook set competition during ALA Midwinter are: Martha Brogan (Indiana University), Jessica Marshall (Slippery Rock University), Jan Walsh (Washington State Library) and Patricia Welch (North Portland Library) • Mary Ellen Chijioke, Director of Hege Library at Guilford College in Greensboro, NC, was the winner of Ingenta's gift basket, raffled off during the opening reception at ALA on Friday evening. The basket included an ensemble of tasty New England treats, in addition to a free 50 subscriber Reveal site license. Congratulations, Mary Ellen!

Ingenta Promotes Industry Veteran to Drive Library Services

Chris Beckett  Chris Beckett to lead Ingenta's global library services team.

A qualified librarian, Chris has over twenty years experience in the scholarly information industry, ten of them specializing in electronic journals.

Chris is charged with the development and execution of a comprehensive international library services strategy focused on improving customer acquisition and customer service:
"The integration of UnCover and CatchWord has given Ingenta a platform for the development of a powerful suite of online services for libraries internationally," he says. "I am looking forward to leading a talented team of people at Ingenta in order to build a compelling suite of services for libraries based around these groundbreaking services."

Prior to joining CatchWord in 1996 where he was Sales and Marketing Director, Chris worked at Blackwell’s Information Services for 13 years. He was a member of the Executive Board and held a number of senior management positions, including General Manager of Blackwell’s Online Bookshop.
