Product Launch: Email Alerting Service

Introducing Ingenta’s Unified Email Alerting Service

Our new alerting service provides Email Table of Contents and Search Alerts from 26,000+ publications, allowing you and your patrons to stay on top of all of the most current research available via Ingenta. Users and administrators benefit from an easy-to-use, alerts management interface that searches across Ingenta's electronic and fax/Ariel content databases. Email alerts arrive with links to the full-text article where available, or offer access, via pay-per-view, to fax and Ariel-formatted titles.

If you are an existing alerting customer, you benefit from an instant upgrade to this new unified service. Your patrons may begin to manage their electronic and fax/Ariel alerts immediately within their existing accounts. As an administrator, you receive immediate access to the Administrator Module, the higlights and benefits of which are outlined below.

If you would like more information about taking advantage of your recent account upgrade*, please email help@ingenta.com.

New to Ingenta's Alerting Service? Contact libraryinfo@ingenta.com for more information.

An Ingenta Alerting License gives your patrons:

• Unlimited Table of Contents alerts from any of the 26,000 publications via Ingenta.com (available in electronic, fax and Ariel formats).

• Unlimited Search alerts. Users have the option to receive weekly emails containing citations that match their specific search queries.

• A simple interface through which they may change, add or delete alerts.

• The option to receive email alerts in plain text or HTML.

• The ability to access articles on Ingenta via email alerts. All email alerts contain links to full-text articles available on Ingenta.com. Where your institution holds a subscription, the authenticated user will be given instant access to the electronic document. Alternatively, articles are available on a pay per view basis, and either delivered straight into the browser or transmitted by fax or Ariel.

An Ingenta Alerting License gives you the Administrator:

An Alerting Administration Module, which allows you to

• View how many TOC alerts have been created for each title.

• Monitor how many patrons are using the service and how many alerts they have set up.

• Add custom text to the top and bottom of emails sent to patrons.

• Manage the allowed email domains for your institution.

*ATTENTION REVEAL USERS:
If you are a subscriber to the "Reveal" service you will be automatically upgraded to the newly unified Ingenta Alerting Service, giving your patrons access to alerts from an additional 6,000 electronic journals not previously included under your agreement.
