Top tips: registering, activating subscriptions, linking to titles

Don't forget that you need to register with IngentaConnect to begin accessing your library's electronic journal collection. Registering with IngentaConnect is free and offers you access to over 18 million articles from 29,000 publications, of which 8,000 are electronic. Click here to register.

Once registered, you need to activate your access to subscribed titles – Sign in with your administrator user name and password, and you will be provided with a menu of administration options. Select Set up subscriptions and enter the subscription number supplied by the publisher. This number can be found on mailing labels or invoices – please contact the publisher if you are unsure of your subscription number. Requests for access will be validated, and confirmation will be emailed to you at the address with which you registered.

If you purchase subscriptions through an agent, Ingenta will work with them to provide online access to your subscribed publications. Simply provide your subscription agent with your IngentaConnect ID and ask them to activate your subscriptions through IngentaConnect. We will do the rest.

IngentaConnect supports a simple, stable, predictable linking syntax to enable you to place title-level links in your OPAC. Find out more about linking to content on IngentaConnect, including instructions for obtaining a list of URLs for your subscribed journals.
