Ingenta launches All My Eye, our new blog
In keeping with our position as a technology leader, we're very excited to report the launch of our new weblog, All My Eye (http://allmyeye.blogspot.com). We will be using the blog to communicate the following types of information:
- our views on current technical practices and hot topics
- commentaries, reviews, passing mentions and recommendations of projects, blogs, technologies etc. that we find interesting
- updates on what Ingenta's been doing, our plans, and occasional general news (where we think it has Human Interest – i.e., we're unlikely to post the annual report)
- synopses of any public speaking we're involved in, plus notes of conferences, workshops etc. which we've attended
- additional lightweight stuff to "break up the monotony of relentless geekery"
All My Eye is administrated by Engineering Manager Leigh Dodds and Senior Product Manager Charlie Rapple, and postings will be contributed by members of the engineering, development and information architecture teams. Topics covered thus far include the state of full-text publishing, use of RSS by librarians and researchers, Ingenta's latest digitisation capabilities, and of course an introduction to the blog and its contributors.
The blog is very much in beta, and we will soon be dressing it up with more recognisable Ingenta branding, but here's your chance to take a sneak preview – be sure to add us to your blogroll!
STOP PRESS: latest addition to the blog is our review of the recent ASA Conference, "Value in Acquisition", held 27–28 Feb in London. Whether you attended and would like a reminder of the discussions, or couldn't make it and would like to get a delegate's perspective, you won't find a more comprehensive overview of the event.
