Keeping up with Connect: new library administrator ResourceZone

We recently announced the creation of ResourceZone, a new area within IngentaConnect which provides centralized information and tools to support library administrators' use of the site and training of patrons. The ResourceZone can be reached via the "For Librarians" drop-down menu on IngentaConnect, or directly at http://www.ingentaconnect.com/about/librarians/resourcezone.

The ResourceZone gathers together downloadable brochures about Ingenta's various library services; how-to tips and user guides to facilitate best use of IngentaConnect's administrator features; materials to assist promotion of online journal access to library patrons; and links to Ingenta's eyetoeye library newsletter, All My Eye technology blog and various "hot topic" articles written by IngentaConnect staff to introduce industry initiatives and developments to administrators.

Latest additions to the ResourceZone include:

  • find out how to set up a payment account, activate subscriptions, obtain usage statistics, configure link servers and holdings information, pre-register patrons and apply your own branding to the IngentaConnect site
• IngentaConnect InTouch email alerting user guide
  • find out how to set up and delete new issue alerts and user-defined keyword search alerts, administer your institution's alerts, monitor usage of the service and configure context-sensitive OpenURL links within emails
