Welcome

to the summer issue of eyetoeye. It's a celebratory edition for us: we've reached the milestone that is 10,000 e-publications in IngentaConnect, and our technological innovation has been recognised with an award from Hewlett Packard.

We're also announcing the members of our new North American Library Advisory Board, with whom we look forward to shaping the future of IngentaConnect. We start off on the right foot by providing further support materials for library administrators in our new ResourceZone. Librarians should also benefit from the addition of Wolper to our subscription agent automated activation program, and newly-available institutional free trials which enable you to provide your users with free trial access to selected IngentaConnect journals.

Our InFocus section features a comprehensive case study written by librarians at the University of Lincoln (UK) about their experiences using HERON, a division of Ingenta that provides digitisation and copyright-clearance services. Lincoln's study shows that 89% of their students are using materials provided by HERON.

As ever, we round up the latest new publishers to join IngentaConnect. And please do remember that we welcome your feedback about this newsletter -- let us know (feedback@ingenta.com) if you have suggestions for features, or comments on articles you've read here.

Finally, the IngentaConnect library team will be in New Orleans for the American Library Association Annual Conference this weekend. We look forward to catching up with many of you there -- make sure you stop by booth 743 to pick up your celebratory IngentaConnect balloon!

On behalf of the team,

Douglas H. Wright
Vice President, IngentaConnect
