Karger Libri joins IngentaConnect's subscription agent activation program

Our subscription agent activation program, in which we work with agents to enable them to upload files that automatically activate journal subscriptions for our mutual customers, continues to receive approbation from others in the industry. The latest agent to sign up for involvement in the program is Karger Libri, which was established in 1960 and which continues to provide expert assistance to its global customer base. Karger Libri is renowned for the high quality of its service and its efficiency in solving problems, both characteristics which are supported by and reflected in its involvement in the IngentaConnect program.

"We are delighted to extend our partnership with Ingenta by participating in this initiative," says Karger Libri's Manager of Order Department and Electronic Media, Monika Augstburger. "It is imperative for all parties in the serials supply chain to simplify and improve the processes by which libraries' access to online subscriptions is activated. Both Karger and Ingenta have distinguished histories of working to develop new efficiencies in this area, so it is fitting that we now come together to create new value for our mutual clients."

Ingenta has been working closely with subscription agents to automate activation of libraries' online access since 2001. It now has eleven partners in the scheme, which eliminates the need for publishers to pass on the access and authentication data they receive from agents, and has been endorsed by 250 IngentaConnect publisher customers. Library customers can contact their agent to request that their data is included in files supplied to Ingenta, or upgrade to IngentaConnect Premium to take advantage of automatic set up for participation in the program.
