New features added to IngentaConnect's free service

We are delighted to announce some forthcoming changes to the IngentaConnect service, which means new features and therefore added value for customers of our entry-level service.

Feedback from our Library Advisory Board, and from several of our customers, has led us to reduce the number of service levels we offer in order to simplify our product line. IngentaConnect’s Premium package will be retired, and regular IngentaConnect customers will now enjoy exciting additional features within our free service.

Libraries currently offering our free service to their users will soon benefit from banner branding, which allows you to use our free tools to apply your library’s logo, links and colour palette to IngentaConnect pages to maximise your branding opportunities. You can ensure that your users are aware of your library’s role in enabling their access to essential literature, as well as reassuring them that the content they access via IngentaConnect is authoritative and endorsed by their library.

In addition, the free service will shortly include automated subscription activation, allowing us to work directly with your subscription agent to configure your online access – a more efficient and time-saving solution to setting up your access! Just let us know who your agent is, and we will take care of the rest. Read more about our unique subscription activation program here.

Our top-level service, IngentaConnect Complete package, will also offer newly inclusive features to facilitate even more efficient document delivery. The Complete package now offers a flexible collection of modules designed to provide librarians with the right tools to meet users’ needs. Individual components – such as full integration with your link servers and holdings, easy-to-configure deposit accounts and cost centres enabling you to retain control of spending, and unlimited, OpenURL compliant email alerts to your users - can be combined to create a tailor-made package to suit any requirement. Customers subscribing to IngentaConnect Complete service also benefit from telephone customer support.

But what does this mean to those currently subscribed to the Premium package? Existing Premium customers will be upgraded to our top-level IngentaConnect Complete service, therefore retaining existing Premium functionality, and with the opportunity to trial some additional features, for the remainder of their annual subscription period.

Finally, for a limited time only, we are offering any library that opens a new deposit account (for $500 or more) $100 worth of research articles absolutely free! Click here to sign up for a deposit account today!
