Welcome

to the summer edition of eye/to/eye. It’s been a busy few months, and we’ve had some exciting new developments in our IngentaConnect service packages to share with you.

It was wonderful to see so many of you at the spring and summer shows and we hope you were able to drop by our booth to get the latest news on IngentaConnect. You can get the low-down from the Canadian Libraries Association, the Special Libraries Association and American Libraries Association annual conferences, plus hear the hot-topics of conversation on our summer conferences special.

We are very pleased to announce that the Library Research Round Table of the American Library Association has recently selected this year’s winner of the Ingenta Research Award – you can read more about that here. We also have a number of newly-available institutional free trials which enable you to provide your users with free trial access to selected IngentaConnect journals.

In this issue, we’ve got a special feature on blogging, including a useful glossary, some examples of ways in which librarians are using blogs, and our suggestions for blogs you might want to read to keep up to date with library developments.

As always, we have a round up the latest new publishers to join IngentaConnect. And please do remember that we welcome your feedback about this newsletter -- let us know (feedback@ingenta.com) if you have suggestions for features, or comments on articles you've read here.

On behalf of all of us in the library services team at Ingenta,

Claire Ginn Winthrop
Director, Library Services
