ALA Annual in Atlanta: Special Training Opportunities for Ingenta Customers

In addition to stopping by Ingenta's booth #437 for a free packet of Southern spices and to enter our Southern cookbook drawing, we hope that you may be able to take advantage of one of our customer training sessions at the conference. We'll be offering a Saturday afternoon session for our Gateway customers, and a Monday morning session for Ingenta.com, deposit account and email alerting users.  You may attend a portion of or all of these sessions. See below for more information on each program and how to register.

One-on-one Gateway Training Consultations

-Gateway Administrative Module Training: Review each facet of the admin module.

-Gateway User Training: Review searching, browsing, ordering, managing profiles, and using our email alerting services.

We invite you to schedule an individual meeting with one of our library account managers during this time. We will have Internet access for each meeting, and can work with your directly on your Gateway.

How to Make the Most of Your Ingenta User Experience
Monday, June 17, 8:30am-12:30pm.

Attendees will receive hands-on, customized instruction from our library account managers on how to best utilize Ingenta's products and services. In addition, our product manager will be on-site all morning to answer questions and take suggestions for future product enhancements.

Several different sessions will be offered throughout the morning. The format for each will be presentation and demonstration, followed by Q&A. You may attend just a portion of the morning's program or the whole event. Please come with your questions.

Part 1: OVERVIEW OF INGENTA.COM
Attendees will learn how to:
-Authenticate user access to Ingenta.com
-Activate full-text subscriptions
-Set up Ingenta's EasyLinks
-Utilize the features and functionality of the Admin Profile

9:30-10:30am
Part II: OVERVIEW OF INGENTA.COM - SEARCHING AND ORDERING
Attendees will learn how to:
-Search and browse the Ingenta database
-Order Fax/Ariel documents
-Purchase electronic documents via pay-per-view
-Access the full-text electronic journals your institution already subscribes to for free on Ingenta

10:30-11:30am
Part III: PAYMENT ACCOUNTS
Allow your users to purchase articles not included within your institution's subscriptions using a library-funded account.
Attendees will learn how to:
-Differentiate between deposit accounts and debit accounts, and how to set up, maintain and replenish them.
-Distinguish between "Parent" and "Freestanding" accounts
-Link profiles to accounts
-Track account usage at your institution

11:30-12:30pm
Part IV: OVERVIEW OF EMAIL ALERTING SERVICES
An all-new suite of alerting products that give your patrons the specific research they need exactly when they need it.
Learn about the features and functionality of Ingenta's:
-Table of Contents and Saved Search Alerts
-Table of Contents Redistribution Service
-Electronic content alerts
