Ingenta Promotes Industry Veteran to Drive Library Services

A qualified librarian, Chris has over twenty years experience in the scholarly information industry, ten of them specializing in electronic journals.

Chris is charged with the development and execution of a comprehensive international library services strategy focused on improving customer acquisition and customer service:
“The integration of UnCover and CatchWord has given Ingenta a platform for the development of a powerful suite of online services for libraries internationally,” he says. “I am looking forward to leading a talented team of people at Ingenta in order to build a compelling suite of services for libraries based around these groundbreaking services.”

Providing access to the most comprehensive selection of research articles online – over 26,000 research publications, including the online full text of over 2.5 million articles – Ingenta offers libraries a range of online services from sophisticated collection management tools and account facilities to branded websites.

Andrea Keyhani, Chief Operating Officer at Ingenta, comments: “Chris Beckett’s vast knowledge and experience of the online scholarly information industry will ensure that Ingenta continues to develop premium quality online services for the library sector. We are looking forward to discussing these plans with librarians at ALA Midwinter.”
