Welcome

to the first issue of the new-look EyetoEye newsletter for Ingenta's publisher partners. We've taken the production of the newsletter in-house, restructured it with new sections, and updated the layout and design to reflect Ingenta's new corporate branding. It's been in development for some while now, hence it's been longer than usual since our last issue – and we've got plenty to share with you ...

We report on the effect of Google full-text indexing on traffic coming into IngentaConnect, and announce the recent launch of a similar initiative with Infotrieve. There's an overview of our reference linking services, which includes a closer look at new and improved features. We also take this opportunity to profile Business Development Manager Guy Plowman.

This issue's InSight feature looks at the increasing popularity of Wikis, focussing on how they are used within the information industry, and how we at Ingenta have adopted them. As usual, we round up the latest new publishers and new titles to join Ingenta, and we also present some basic "brass tacks" statistics about general usage of IngentaConnect.

Finally, we are proud to announce the Ingenta Research Award, in conjunction with the Library Research Round Table of the American Library Association, which supports research on seeking, use and preservation of digital information.

As ever, we aim to provide a helpful and informative newsletter, and we welcome your feedback. Please let us know if there are topics you would like us to cover, or issues we could usefully address.

On behalf of the publisher services team at Ingenta,

Simon Dessain
CEO
