Ingenta improves efficiency of service for users in China
Ingenta has recently upgraded its network connectivity into China to enhance service delivery for the more than 1400 Chinese institutions already registered to access online content via IngentaConnect.Ingenta has for several years offered supplementary services for publishers wishing to make their content more easily accessible from China, and has deployed distributed servers in China and Hong Kong to this end. Our latest approach to high speed search and content delivery focuses on new server capacity in the US and UK, with SAVVIS' ITM technology employed to route Chinese users via new network tunnels to achieve substantial improvements in connectivity and faster user response times.
Since the introduction of the new configuration, users have already benefited from significantly improved service delivery times with a much greater consistency of response. All IngentaConnect publishers will now benefit by having their content available for use by Chinese institutions.
