New management appointments; forthcoming Publisher Forum

We recently created the new position of Head of Client Management to provide additional support to our IngentaConnect publisher customers, and we're delighted to welcome back Louise Tutton who took up the role a few weeks ago (read the full press release of Louise's appointment here). Louise's history with the company dates back to 1999 when she joined CatchWord as an account manager, prior to the merger with Ingenta, and many of you will recall dealing with her over the years. The new position sees Louise managing our full team of 6 client managers in the UK and North America, and she will be on the road regularly in the coming months to meet as many of our publisher customers as possible.

We've also recently appointed Carol Rice to the new position of VP, Product Development in our ICS and Websites unit. Carol will be based in our Providence, RI office and will lead the strategical and technological development of our standalone website and information commerce platforms. Carol has over 20 years' experience in software development, application architecture, infrastructure architecture and program management, and has held senior management roles in a range of consulting, software and financial services companies.

Our North American publishers can look forward to meeting Louise and Carol at our US Publisher Forum, to be held on Tuesday, June 6th at Dumbarton House, Washington, DC – save the date! The event will open with lunch at 12.30pm, followed by an afternoon of sessions including speakers from Portico, the archiving initiative, and Ringgold, key players in the Journal Supply Chain Integration pilot and developers of the institutional registry which is central to the project's aims. Ingenta speakers on the agenda will include Leigh Dodds, whose paper "The Modern Palimpsest" proved one of the most popular at our UK Publisher Forum in December last year.
