Welcome
to this new edition of eyetoeye – we're pleased to be able to announce a host of new developments. First up, read about our new digitization capabilities which enable us to take hard copies of your journal issues or books, and turn them into all-singing, all-dancing interactive PDFs. We feel very proud to be the first full-text hosting partner offering this service.
We're also announcing a new technology blog, our new management appointments, a new Resource Zone for library administrators, a new publisher homepage, and our usual list of new publishers and titles to join the service ... we don't call it a newsletter for nothing!
As if that wasn't enough, we offer you a case study of our Connect Collections service, written by launch partner Maney Publishing (with our thanks), a report on the outcome of this year's IngentaConnect renewal process , and an overview of social bookmarking and folksonomies, the latest social software to cause a buzz in our industry.
Finally, we encourage you to save the date of June 6th, when we will hold our next US Publisher Forum in Washington, DC, to coincide with the Society of Scholarly Publishing conference. We'll be circulating a full agenda shortly but so far it's looking like an unmissably informative event. I hope to catch up with many of you there.
On behalf of the publisher services teams at Ingenta,
Simon Dessain
CEO
