Welcome
to this autumn edition of eyetoeye, Ingenta's newsletter for publishers. Our star continues to rise this year, with more big announcements following the celebrations we mentioned in the summer issue. We're very pleased to announce the latest groundbreaking development in our relationship with Google, and to be extending our presence in China following feedback we gathered during this year's Beijing International Book Fair. Our presence at that event, and at the Frankfurt Book Fair, is reviewed alongside a taster of the agenda for our UK Publisher Forum in December - at which I hope to catch up with many of you.
We've also completed an exciting new release of IngentaConnect , which introduces a range of end-user features as well as offering you the chance to sell advertising space around your content. We reveal the state-of-the-art technologies behind IngentaConnect and related systems in this issue's InSight feature, "Under the Hood". And we reproduce a recent independent analysis of our Information Commerce System, which has been causing a buzz in the industry since we delivered the first software earlier this year. We also give you an overview of the committee work carried out by several members of Ingenta staff, who use their unrivalled industry knowledge and experience to help support and shape the world of online publishing.
Finally, we congratulate the winners of our competitition to celebrate IngentaConnect's 10,000th publication, and welcome the latest publishers to join the service.
On behalf of all of us at Ingenta,
Simon Dessain
