Welcome
Looking back over the previous year, it's hard not to dwell on the fact that it was an eventful twelve months for us. A year down the road from the merger with VISTA, to form Publishing Technology, we're now poised to move forward into 2008 with many interesting and challenging projects, and a strong commitment to building on the solid foundation we have now developed.
In the spirit of looking forward, this edition of the eyetoeye focuses on our plans for the coming year. We showcase some of the ground-breaking new technologies we're bringing to our publisher customers in the form of our newly-launched pub2web publications platform, and we reflect on some recent developments to IngentaConnect and highlight some planned upgrades and additions. There's an also an update on our advertising program, an easy, low-cost way to grow revenues from your online investment.
I'm very pleased to introduce to you some new members of Ingenta's North American business development team. Becky Lenzini and Jeff Downing have come on board to develop our publisher and library businesses respectively, and we feel confident that they will help us to strengthen the services that we offer to these communities.
The new year also brings with it the need to update your subscriber details and so we've included a reminder for the subscription renewals process to ensure your customers' access is correctly and smoothly renewed.
Our InSider section reviews the recent Publishing Technology Trends forum, which we hope will be the first of many seminars intended to keep you right up to date with industry developments. We also offer up our 2008 calendar for event attendance - a calendar which kicks off next week with the PSP conference in Washington; I hope those of you in attendance will find time to catch up with Louise Tutton and Becky Lenzini, attending on our behalf.
Our InSight this issue focuses on - and demystifies - the large number of information industry projects in which we are involved, from KBART to Transfer, COUNTER to MESUR.
And finally, we welcome all the latest publishers to join the IngentaConnect service. On behalf of all of us at Ingenta, I'd like to wish you a successful 2008.
