New Publisher Services Appointments
Ingenta is pleased to announce two new appointments within its US publisher services team: Janet Fisher, Director US Client Management, and David Durand, Director, Electronic Publishing Services.

Janet Fisher was previously Associate Director of Journal Publishing at MIT University Press. As Director, US Client Management, Janet will take over responsibility for the existing US client management team, presently managed from the UK, ensuring that US-based clients have a local, senior level contact to support them in meeting their online publishing needs. A well-known and highly respected figure within the scholarly publishing industry, Janet will be working closely with Ingenta's more than 75 US customers on all aspects of their existing and future online publishing needs.

Ingenta is also expanding its new business team, and has appointed David Durand to a client-facing role. He has been an expert in online publishing and document management since before the Web existed, and was instrumental, as a W3C working group member, in the development of XML, XLink, and XPointer.

Dr. Durand is adjunct Associate Professor of Computer Science at Brown University, working with Brown's Scholarly Technology group. Further appointments are expected in this area, as the market for online publishing of scholarly periodicals continues to grow.
