The Ingenta Library Outlook
Ingenta and EBSCO - Activating Subscriptions Together to Benefit LibrariansIn response to customer demand for a less time-consuming and more straightforward subscription validation process on Ingenta, we are pleased to announce a joint initiative with EBSCO to more efficiently manage online subscription activation. This inititative has significantly reduced the workload for libraries and administrators.
Now, rather than having to compile their own subscription lists, the librarian simply need request that their agent send Ingenta a list of their subscriptions. These requests are automatically validated on trusted access, saving the publisher, librarian and subscription agent both time and effort.
We are delighted that the majority of the publishers working with Ingenta have agreed to follow the new process ensuring prompt activation to your online publications. Already using the new system, subscription agents Kinokuniya and Harrassowitz have activated more than 75,350 subscriptions.
