Dear Friends,

We hope your New Year is off to a great start!

At Ingenta, we are delighted to introduce a new area of our website dedicated to updating you on IngentaConnect, our forthcoming integrated access platform that will combine our current sites, ingenta.com and Ingenta Select.

Accessible from the homepage of both of our existing sites, this Integration News area includes regular progress reports, FAQs for our publisher and library customers, and articles on a range of topics from our Engineering, Information Architecture and Product Management teams.

We will be adding news and content to this area frequently, and we welcome your feedback and questions as we continue to integrate our services.

Also, in this issue:

• A technology tutorial on linking and distribution. There are so many linking and distribution opportunities out there today, it's difficult to know where to begin. Part I of our Linking and Distribution Tutorial series offers some helpful information for understanding the basics and the benefits.

• Announcement of the latest publishers to join Ingenta, as well as new content recently gone live on our service.

• An update on major library community initiatives at Ingenta, including our unique partnership with a number of subscription agents and the recent launch of our unified alerting license.

• Why is Information Architecture such a crucial first step when building a website? Our IA team offers some insight into how to ensure you are building a successful roadmap for your site.

On behalf of the entire publisher services team at Ingenta, best wishes for a successful 2004.
